Calabazas, 1993 by Douglas Johnson (choose boxed or single cards)
Living in New Mexico for more than fifty years, Douglas Johnson has been fortunate enough to immerse himself in Native American cultures. His images are derived from a lifetime study of native and Hispanic history. His teachers have been Navajo artist, Harrison Begay, and Apache artist, Alan Houser whose paintings he discovered as a child in the Encyclopedia Britannia. Currently he has illustrated publications in the United States and France and has exhibited his work in both countries. He has travelled the world and borrowed images from many cultures. His miniature art works painted in gouache are in the collections of many museums, currently featured in exhibitions in Santa Fe and Tucson.
